Graduate Admissions

Join a community of over 550 inquisitive and engaged graduate students matriculating in 13 different academic programs. From Psychology and Philosophy to English and Economics, we offer research opportunities with our acclaimed faculty, as well as the personalized advising and development programs you need to put your degree to work after graduation.

Graduate Student Advising

CLA graduate students are assigned a faculty advisor when they are admitted into a degree program. Students consult their advisors each semester to ensure they are taking the appropriate courses to complete their degree program. Faculty advisors provide students with guidance and constructive feedback about academic and related career/personal goals and make recommendations for electives that align with student’s goals and interests. They also inform students of academic opportunities related to goals and degree (i.e., research opportunities).

Students receive additional academic support from the Graduate Director of their program. The Director of Graduate Studies provides graduate students guidance about registration, transfer credits, course related information and with information about college and graduate school deadlines, processes and forms.
