Student Ambassador Program

Current CLA Ambassadors

The CLA Ambassador Program is a dynamic group of undergraduate student leaders who share their unique experiences of Temple with prospective students, families, alumni and community members, and promote the college in a variety of ways. CLA ambassadors gain access to many valuable professional development and leadership opportunities by volunteering at on-campus events, hosting prospective students, and assisting the dean’s office and faculty.

I LOVE working at the CLA visit center. It gives me such pride and joy to represent a school I adore and help prospective freshmen navigate the challenge of college admissions. I am no stranger to how stressful these times can be! I value the opportunity to highlight the positive and empowering experiences the college of liberal arts offers.

Interests: I am heavily involved on campus including the President of Temple Democrats, Chief of External Affairs for Temple Student Government, and member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Besides that I love to explore Philly with my friends, arts and crafts, and thrifting.

I love working as a CLA ambassador because I have had a great experience as a criminal justice student at Temple and love to share my story and insight with protective students. I enjoy talking with students about what they are interested in and connecting on a 1-1 level with people considering Temple. I also love speaking to families and learning more about people who come from all over to see Temple!

Interests: Reading, writing, cross stitching, interning at the Defenders Association of Philadelphia, working as an RA.

I love seeing prospective students light up when they hear me talk about Temple's psychology program. Seeing them get excited when they imagine themselves here is such a cool experience, and I love to help students feel more confident that this is the right place for them!

Interests: I love music, singing, and dancing. I'm in the Psychology Majors Association and Low Key Acapella. I also enjoy going to Goodnight Yoga at the gym on campus! I'm an intern in Tuttleman Counseling's Resiliency Resource Center. I'm studying abroad in Temple Rome next semester!

Global Studies & Political Science Major; French Minor '27
Hometown: Santander, Spain

As an international student, I know how confusing and overwhelming starting college can be, especially at a big school like Temple. I love being a resource for prospective and incoming students and helping them transition to Temple. Last year, a prospective student came with her mom to the Visit Center to get information about CLA and Temple. She had studied abroad in Spain, where I come from,  so we immediately connected. This year, we saw each other on campus. She had chosen Temple and remembered me!

Interests: I am passionate about languages. I speak seven (Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, Latin, and Ancient Greek) and am currently learning Arabic and Russian. Additionally, I absolutely love music. I am a professional singer specializing in religious Renaissance music and currently sing at two of Temple’s magnificent choirs. I am also an avid reader. My favorite book is The Brothers Karamazov by Russian writer Fyodor Dostoevsky.

Testimonials

Read testimonials from some of the past ambassadors below!

The reason why I became an ambassador, and the reason I enjoy my work as an ambassador, is because the College of Liberal Arts has such a wide variety of opportunities and resources available to students that you simply can't know them all as an incoming student! I enjoy talking with prospective students, hearing what their academic and professional interests are, and connecting them with the resources available so they can make the most out of their time here in the College of Liberal Arts.

One of my main reasons I wanted to join the CLA ambassadors was to make connections with people with the same interests as me, but I also wanted an opportunity to develop my leadership and organizational skills. Working within my college, I thought this was the best option to do all those things.

I enjoy being a CLA ambassador because it gives me the opportunity to help someone find their new 'home away from home.' Temple University has welcomed me with open arms to new opportunities and friends, and if I am able to help just one other student find that too, it makes the whole journey worthwhile!
