The Center for Competitive Government (formerly the Privatization Research Center) deals with description, evaluation and planning of innovations by government. 

Center for the Humanities at Temple

The Center for the Humanities at Temple is an interdisciplinary forum for scholarship and intellectual inquiry in the humanities at Temple University. We work to bridge the disciplinary divide between departments and colleges by promoting broad, humanities-based conversations that connect scholars from multiple scholarly fields.

Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy

The Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy (CENFAD), founded in 1993 by Richard Immerman, Russell Weigley and David Rosenberg, fosters interdisciplinary faculty and student research on the historic and contemporary use of force and diplomacy in a global context. CENFAD is housed within Temple University’s History Department.

Center for Sustainable Communities 

The Center for Sustainable Communities at Temple University conducts integrated social and environmental research on natural, technological and socioeconomic systems to address the challenges of sustainability—how to meet the needs of people locally and globally through equitable, innovative and practical solutions that protect the environment which sustains life on the planet.

Center for Vietnamese Philosophy, Culture and Society

The Center for Vietnamese Philosophy, Culture and Society is a national center for scholarly research and educational training. The center sponsors a range of programs on Vietnam's rich heritage of philosophy and culture including conferences, colloquia, classes, a research library and courses in the Vietnamese language.

Feinstein Center For American Jewish

The Feinstein Center For American Jewish History supports innovative approaches to understanding American Jewish life. Its mission is simple: Inspiring inquiry. In collaboration with institutions in Philadelphia and beyond, the Feinstein Center invites the public to join conversations about Jewish culture, politics, history and identity across time and space.

Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program® 

The Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program®  brings college students together with incarcerated men and women to study as peers in a seminar behind prison walls. The Inside-Out progra  is a semester long academic course, meeting once a week, through which 15 to 18 outside undergraduate students and the same number of inside incarcerated students attend class together inside a prison. If you are a current student who is interested in getting involved in our program, visit the Inside-Out Center website!

Public Policy Lab 

The Public Policy Lab is an intellectual home for researchers who study public policies and the social processes relevant to their development and consequences. Housed in the College of Liberal Arts, the nonpartisan lab provides an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of contemporary policy issues, research support for faculty and student scholarship, and a mechanism to disseminate participants’ research findings.

Temple University Brain Research and Imaging Center (TUBRIC) 

The Temple University Brain Research and Imaging Center is a state-of-the-art facility hosting research conducted at the university and neighboring academic institutions and organizations. Modern brain imaging approaches, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), electroencephalography (EEG) and brain stimulation, allow us to noninvasively explore the structure and function of the brain.

University Community Collaborative 

The collaborative prepares and supports youth and young adults to become confident, effective leaders and creates cultures that value and integrate the contributions of youth, thereby building stronger communities.

Criminal Justice Training Programs 

Criminal Justice Training Programs (CJTP), a division of the Temple University Department of Criminal Justice, is an interdisciplinary unit that has conducted professional development programs for a variety of criminal justice agencies and occupations since 1968. Today, over 3,000 criminal justice professionals attend programs offered by CJTP each year including police officers, deputy sheriffs, state constables, legislative security officers, magisterial district court staff, school resource officers, park rangers and crime prevention specialists.
